This smooth and creamy hummus recipe is a super yumm healthy snack. It goes amazingly well as a dip with pita chips, toasted pita bread, crackers, raw veggies like carrot sticks, bell pepper, cucumber, celery sticks. And what more it can be whipped up in a jiffy!
Ingredients
- 2 cups boiled chickpeas
- ¼ cup tahini
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 chopped jalapeno
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Dash of paprika
Instructions
- Blend together all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor.
- Add chickpeas water to adjust consistency.
- Pour in ½ the olive oil in the food processor and pulse for 30 seconds.
- Transfer the hummus in a serving bowl and drizzle the rest of the olive oil.
- Sprinkle paprika on top and enjoy with pita, crackers, or veggies!!
